Local law enforcement now believe the robbery suspect previously tracked to the Eccles Broadcast Center at the University of Utah is no longer in the campus area.

Local law enforcement now believe the robbery suspect previously tracked to the Eccles Broadcast Center at the University of Utah is no longer in the campus area. Police activity will be ongoing near the center as the investigation continues, but there are no longer any restrictions to campus.

Although no longer believed to be on campus, the suspect is described as a white male, dark hair, straw hat with a fake mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a tan vest, blue jeans and a fanny pack. Do not approach the suspect. Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000 or University police at 801-585-COPS.

Local Law Enforcement is currently searching for an aggravated robbery suspect in the vicinity of the Eccles Broadcast Center. The situation is very dynamic. Please avoid this area if possible or secure in place until further notice.

The suspect is described as a white male, dark hair, straw hat with a fake mustache and beard; last seen wearing a black shirt with a tan vest, blue jeans and a fanny pack.

The suspect is considered dangerous, police ask you do not approach if he is spotted anywhere on campus.
