Greetings, loyal University of Utah fans!
The campus is abuzz in anticipation of the upcoming athletics season. Whether you're a die-hard supporter of football, basketball, gymnastics or any other sport, your enthusiasm is what makes our community thrive.
For many of us, our love for sports runs deep, and attending games, meets, matches and doubleheaders is an integral part of our lives. As we gear up to cheer on our talented athletes, we invite you to embrace the spirit of good sportsmanship and unity that defines our fan base, both on and off the field, court or pitch, and give all fans a sincere “Welcome to Utah.”
This spirit of camaraderie was highlighted in the annual Fan Up message from President Taylor Randall and Athletics Director Mark Harlan.
“We ask fans—students, student-athletes, faculty, staff, alumni and community members—to show their Utah pride by promoting a positive environment that is respectful, safe, welcoming and family-friendly. Your safety, and the safety of all in attendance is our top priority!” said Randall and Harlan. Read the full letter here.
The Fan Up initiative is a call to action for all U fans to embody the values of good sportsmanship, respect and consideration for others, especially our fellow athletes and fans from visiting teams.
When you take the Fan Up Pledge, you commit to...

- Promoting a family-friendly experience: Create an environment where families can enjoy the game together.
- Enjoying the game responsibly: Let's cheer with passion while respecting the experience of others.
