Keep your bike safe on campus

Commuter Services and the University of Utah Department of Public Safety are proud to announce the availability of the bike index for bike registration! Bike registration is quick, easy and free of cost. Registering your bike using the below instructions allows for safe use on campus and will help you recover it if it is stolen.

How to register your bike

When you are ready to register your bike, you have several options. If you prefer an online option, please visit the registration webpage. In-person options are also available—simply visit the Campus Bike Shop or University Police  during business hours.

  • Friday: 11am-4pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

University Police office hours:

*hours subject to change

On the registration webpage, you will find step-by-step instructions that will make the registration process simple. Don’t forget to have your bike’s serial number on hand for registration! If you are having trouble finding your serial number, check out this helpful resource. Be sure to fill out the registration form near the bottom of the page so your registration information is saved.

Where to get your sticker

Once you finish registering your bike, check your email to be notified when your sticker is available for pickup. Stickers are important to display on your bike to ensure they are properly registered for use on campus. Please pick up your sticker from the Campus Bike Shop. Remember, you must show a valid UCard to receive your sticker.

Final steps

After you’ve picked up your sticker, it’s time to link it to your registered bike. To link your sticker, follow the instructions on the back of the sticker. Once you’ve linked your sticker, place the sticker on your bike in a visible location.
