Department of Public Safety to host 2nd annual Utah Campus Safety Summit

This two-day summit on March 20-21, 2024, at the Eccles Alumni House, is an opportunity to bring together diverse campus communities to improve safety and security on all our state’s educational campuses.

It will explore important and relevant topics affecting campus safety for all users, explore future trends and discuss new approaches to campus safety that are making a difference.

In a welcome message included in the official program Keith Squires, chief safety officer of the University of Utah Department of Public Safety explains the importance of collaboration and hosting this event.

“Our goal for this annual summit is simple—increase campus safety through education and collaboration. We learn more when we learn from each other, we are better prepared when we prepare together and we can overcome challenges more readily when we face them collectively,” said Squires.
