Every two years, the Center for Campus Wellness takes a vital step toward improving our campus health and well-being by administering the National College Health Assessment (NCHA). This nationally recognized survey, sent to a random sample of undergraduate, graduate and professional students, plays a crucial role in shaping the health and wellness programs available to you.
Your participation in the NCHA is not just encouraged—it’s essential! The survey is completely anonymous and confidential, ensuring that your responses will paint a true and holistic picture of student health without any risk to your privacy.
Why your voice matters
When you participate in the NCHA, you contribute to a comprehensive understanding of student health. This includes insights into mental health, substance use, sexual behaviors, nutrition and experiences of violence. By taking just 20 minutes to complete the survey, you’re helping to shape the programs and services that address these critical areas.
But what happens with this data? It’s simple: your responses guide us in improving current programs and developing new initiatives tailored to your needs. Past survey results have led to the creation or expansion of impactful programs like opioid overdose response workshops, Peer Well-being Navigation and other health and wellness programs.
How to participate
The survey launched on Feb. 10 and is available until March 2. Check your UMail for your unique link to the NCHA survey with an email from the National College Health Assessment (ncha-web@acha.org). You’ll receive reminder emails through March 2.
And there’s more—by completing the survey, you will be automatically entered for a chance to win gift cards to the Campus Bookstore!
So, take the survey, raise your voice and help us elevate campus health. Follow the Center for Campus Wellness on social media @uofuwellness for more information, or email us at wellness@sa.utah.edu with any questions.
