Suzanne M. Darais, JD, MLS, has been appointed director of the James E. Faust Law Library at the University of Utah. In conjunction with this appointment, Darais was appointed associate dean of University Libraries and professor of Law (lecturer). Elizabeth Kronk Warner, dean of the College of Law, and Alberta D. Comer, dean of libraries, made the joint announcement.
“Suzanne has served the Faust Law Library and other libraries in a great diversity of roles,” says Elizabeth Kronk Warner, dean of the S.J. Quinney College of Law. “Her deep and broad experience will translate into exceptional leadership for the Faust Law Library.”
Darias has extensive experience at the Faust Law Library. She has worked as a reference and outreach services librarian, computer services librarian, head of information technology services and as the associate library director for the past eight years.

Before starting her career at the University of Utah, Darais completed an internship at Stanford Law Library and worked at the University of Washington Law Library. She was awarded a Juris Doctorate at Brigham Young University, a Master of Library Science from University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from University of Utah.
