Join us in celebration of our amazing University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and U of U Health employees at this year’s Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) taking place on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 10 am – 2 pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
All attendees should bring their UCards to enter the event. Student-employees with a student UCard should email ead@utah.edu with their uNID. They will receive a confirmation email, and they should plan on bringing/showing this confirmation along with their UCard to enter this year’s festivities.

Be sure to note our two entrances this year! Gate D on the west side is the historic entrance/for this event, but Gate J/K will also be available as an east entrance for guests. Additionally, the concession stands for free pizza and drinks will be located on the east side of the concourse rather than the west side. Click here for a downloadable map.
Transportation and parking
TRAX
Scanning your Ucard and hopping on TRAX for a free ride is one of the best ways to get to EAD this year! The Red Line will bring you directly to the Stadium Station located just off the western parking lot so you can easily enter through Gate D. Use UTA’s website to plan out your TRAX journey!
Campus shuttles
There are two shuttle routes which will bring you directly to the east side of the stadium by Gate J/K from various shuttle stops on campus, downtown and in Research Park.
Parking
Parking is extremely limited for this event, so we highly suggest utilizing TRAX and campus shuttles. If you do choose to park, both the west side stadium parking lot (Lot 1) and the east side stadium parking lot (Lot 9) are available first-come first-served. There will be reserved stalls for EAD vendors, sponsors, etc. and U of U leaders volunteering at the event only.
Goosechase now open: September 25 – 29, 2023
The EAD Goosechase Virtual Scavenger Hunt is now open to play today through September 29, 2023! This is an interactive, online picture and text response scavenger game done through iPhone or Android app. A great opportunity for those who can’t make it to the in-person event at the stadium!
Anyone who accumulates 1000 points will be entered to win the Grand Prize: 2 Utes football tickets to an upcoming game + invitation to the Auxiliary Business Development tailgate for free food prior to the game + U of U clothing item + sunglasses!
