Our campus has endured several significant tragedies during the month of October over the past few years, so you may find yourself experiencing difficulty as you remember the deaths of Chen Wei Guo and Lauren McCluskey and other campus incidents. It is very natural to find yourself experiencing a renewed experience of grief and loss in this way. As with any grief reaction, it is important to remember that there is no one right way to grieve our losses. It remains important to be sure to continue to take care of yourself by remembering to stick to your normal routine, maintain a regular sleep and eating schedule, connect with friends and family and try to maintain your usual level of physical activity. It may also be important to find a way to honor your own process of grieving these significant losses on the anniversary date that is most relevant to you.
