COVID-19 vaccine now available for some in the campus community

All COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective at preventing serious illness from COVID-19 including hospitalization and death.

U of U Health has greatly expanded the eligibility requirements to receive COVID-19 vaccine, aligning with the state’s overall vaccine distribution effort. All patients 50 years of age and older, as well as patients 16 years of age and older with qualifying conditions, are now invited to schedule a vaccination appointment.

All U of U Health staff who fall in these updated categories, and have not yet been offered the vaccine, are invited to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience. Vaccinations will be available by appointment only and can be scheduled through your MyChart account.

We encourage you to notify any U of U Health patient who falls into these updated categories to check their MyChart account for the opportunity to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. This includes relatives, friends and neighbors, among others.

Due to long wait times by phone, we request that schedule be done through MyChart. However, anyone who needs scheduling assistance may call the Hotline at 801-587-0712.

For other COVID-19 vaccine locations and scheduling options, individuals can visit the state’s coronavirus website.
