Coursera has announced an enrollment extension which means University of Utah students, staff, faculty and community members still have time to sign up for the free courses. The Coursera catalog of courses and certificates includes nearly 4,000 basic and applied courses from a large number of universities and a wide range of industries. The U partnership allows participants to not only take the courses but to also earn industry certificates for free.
Faculty may also choose to incorporate Coursera content in their courses for Summer 2020 Semester.
The original registration deadline of July 31 has been extended to Sept. 30, although all courses must still be completed by Sept. 30.
So far, the top five enrolled courses from the U are:
- Getting started with Python programming
- Initiating and planning projects
- Learning how to learn
- The science of well-being
- Neural networks and deep learning
