Carnegie task force to showcase community-engaged projects April 9

Join us for the Community Engagement Showcase, a celebration of impactful university-community partnerships, sponsored by Mitzi Montoya, senior vice president for academic affairs, and Bob Carter, provost and senior vice president for Health Sciences and CEO of the University of Utah Health. The showcase will take place in the auditorium in the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts and Education Complex on April 9 from 5:30–6:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.

The showcase will feature lightning presentations from nine selected finalists who are advancing community-engaged work across the University of Utah. Each finalist will deliver a dynamic 5-minute presentation highlighting the power of collaboration, equity, and community impact.

A total of $10,000 in awards will be distributed to support the continuation of these powerful projects. Finalists were selected through a competitive process using a rubric grounded in the values of the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, with a focus on partnerships that are mutually beneficial, reciprocal, and asset-based.

Following the event, we invite all guests to a reception celebrating community partnerships and the important work being done across our campus and beyond.

We hope to see you there!
