The University of Utah and Brigham Young University will team up to address a vital need in Utah through a friendly collaboration between the two universities. The schools are launching this year’s food drive, themed “Tackling Hunger Together”, benefiting the Utah Food Bank.
Ways to give
Prior to the Utah vs. BYU game on Nov. 9. Students will be collecting monetary donations (cash and Venmo).
Tailgates. Students will be visiting tailgates prior to the Utah vs. BYU game on Nov. 9 and the Utah vs. Iowa State game on Nov. 23 to collect monetary donations.
Neighborhood Collections. Students will be collecting donations in neighborhoods surrounding the University of Utah. Flyers will be distributed door-to-door on Nov. 12 and 13 and collections will happen the following week on Nov. 19 and 20.
Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House. There will be a collection barrel at the Alumni House.

A longstanding tradition, the food drive is organized by the U’s Student Alumni Board. The collection event culminates on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at the U’s holiday Friendsgiving celebration.
