This polling location is for residents of Salt Lake County only. Completed mail-in ballots can be dropped off at this location.
In case of long lines, those who are in line by 8 p.m. will be able to vote.
Pull a lever, poke a “chad,” tap a screen or fill in a circle. No matter how your state, county or precinct does it, the message is simple: VOTE! Whether you consider it a moral duty or a civic obligation, voting allows all citizens to make their voices heard. And you can vote right here on the University of Utah campus.
Voting and same-day voter registration
Voting and same-day registration is available Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. at the J. Willard Marriott Library, Gould Auditorium, Level 1.
Anyone registered to vote in Salt Lake County can vote at the Marriott Library. Registered voters must provide one form of photo identification or two forms of identification that bear a name and address that validates that the voter resides in the voting precinct. A full list of acceptable documents can be found on the Salt Lake County Clerk site.
Election Day Events
The Hinckley Institute of Politics has several events planned for Election Day. On Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m., the institute will host an election debrief with Hinckley Director Jason Perry, Associate Director Morgan Lyon Cotti and reporter Benjamin Wood of The Salt Lake Tribune. The event will be held in Suite 2018 in Gardner Commons.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the institute will also host an “Election Night Watch Party” from 6-9 p.m. in the Hinckley Caucus Room, Suite 2018, in Gardner Commons. The event is free and open to the public and there will be food.
