Utah is a world-class spot for outdoor recreation, and this fall University Connected Learning is offering dozens of classes for people who want to head into the wild. “We offer classes in everything from avalanche awareness to nature photography and pistol marksmanship,” said Summer Pessatore, associate director, Marketing & Communications at UCL. “There literally is a class for everyone.”

Registration is now open for all classes, and some classes start as early as Aug. 19. Anyone over 18 is eligible to register, even if they aren’t currently enrolled U students. Eligible employees can apply for a tuition reduction discount through Human Resources.

“This is a great opportunity to try a new skill you’ve always wanted to learn,” said Pessatore. “There are also several courses that involve traveling to different parts of the state if you want to explore what Utah has to offer beyond the Wasatch Front.”
