Join the Gender-Based Violence Consortium this Thursday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. for Unstoppable: Art & Play.
This event, taking place during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, will feature a panel discussion with community partners, art-making and personal story collection in a safe space for participants to discuss and heal from the trauma of domestic violence.
The panel will feature Lilian Agar, artist; Yolanda Francisco-Nez, Restoring Ancestral Winds; Brandy Farmer, Central Civico Mexicano; Trinh Mai and Annie Isabel Fukushima, University of Utah.
“By offering an inclusive, safe space that fosters dialogue among community members of all ages, we hope to engage with students and faculty, artists, advocates and families of all types,” Fukushima said.
The event will feature food catered by Laziz Kitchen.
