Apply to present your community partnership projects at the Community Engagement Showcase, sponsored by Mitzi Montoya, senior vice president for Academic Affairs and Provost; and Bob Carter, senior vice president for Health Sciences and CEO of University of Utah Health.
Finalists will be chosen to give a five-minute “lightning pitch” on their partnership work during the event. A total of $10,000 will be awarded to help continue great community-engaged work happening at the University of Utah.
Applications will be reviewed utilizing this rubric developed in the context of the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, which seeks examples of “high-quality community engagement partnerships are mutually beneficial, reciprocal and asset-based.”
University of Utah faculty and staff who apply are encouraged to include their community partners’ and students’ voices in both the application and pitch.
Please share this call widely and apply with your community-engaged projects HERE by Jan. 21. Please review the rubric for this process before submitting. Finalists will be notified by Jan. 31 and invited to pitch at the Community Engagement Showcase in late February.
