For many students, internships can feel like a test run for the real world… but they don’t always come with a manual. You might find yourself buried in vague assignments, wondering if your work is making a difference or unsure how to position yourself for a full-time offer. That’s where Goff’s Internship Lab comes in.
This summer, the Goff Strategic Leadership Institute is offering two dynamic, drop-in Internship Lab sessions led by Goff instructors Stephanie Baugh and Solomon Lin. Designed for interns at any stage of their experience, whether you’re thriving or just trying to stay afloat, these workshops are built to help you lead from wherever you are.
“Internships are often ambiguous by nature,” said Baugh. “But that ambiguity can be a good thing—it creates space for initiative, creativity and leadership, especially if you know what steps to take.”
The Internship Lab will tackle challenges head-on, helping students:
- Create real, relentless value within their organization
- Navigate uncertainty and make sense of unclear expectations
- Build durable professional skills they’ll use far beyond the summer
- Position themselves for future opportunities—whether that’s a return offer or a standout letter of recommendation
The sessions are interactive and grounded in real student experiences. In the past, interns have asked questions like:
- “I feel overwhelmed by my internship and don’t know where to start. What should I do?”
- “I feel like I’m not doing meaningful work. How do I elevate it?”
- “My supervisor isn’t giving me any direction—what do I do?”
Whether you’re working at a Fortune 500 company or a small startup, Goff’s Internship Lab is your opportunity to get expert guidance, connect with peers and make the most of your experience.
