Meet scientists and try experiments at Summer Science Day

Come face-to-face with real U scientists at the first-ever Summer Science Day on July 12!
Summer Science Day is a free, all-ages event. Researchers from the Departments of Biochemistry, Nutrition & Integrative Physiology, Neurobiology, Human Genetics, and Core Facilities will present demonstrations, give lab tours, and talk about their work and how it impacts people’s lives.
This all-ages public open house in the atrium of the Eccles Health Sciences Education Building runs from 10 am – 4 pm. Find more information, including a schedule of events, here.
Please join us for this celebration of science and invite your family and friends!
Summer Science Day is organized by the Genetic Science Learning Center (GSLC) at the University of Utah. For 30 years, the GSLC has taught genetics, biology, ecology, Earth science, and human health to millions of students all over the world with free online activities like Mouse PartyPigeonetics, and Cell Size and Scale. The GSLC, part of the Department of Biochemistry and led by Janet Iwasa, is a trusted source for science and health education, communication, and research. We make science and health easier to understand.
