Information sessions for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The University of Utah’s Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships aims to assist students and recent alumni develop competitive applications for a variety of prestigious scholarships administered by entities outside the University of Utah.

To that end, ONCS will offer two upcoming information sessions for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, which is administered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. “In partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide,” the Fulbright U.S. Student Program “offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals from all backgrounds. Program participants pursue graduate study, conduct research, or teach English abroad” (us.fulbrightonline.org).

The application for Fulbright’s 2025-2026 competition opens on April 2, 2024, and ONCS’s internal deadline will be August 31, 2024.  The primary audience for the upcoming ONCS Fulbright information sessions is highly motivated, upper-division students and graduate students, but all are welcome to attend.  If you want to learn more, register here:
