The University’s Board of Trustees invites nominations for the Honorary Doctorate Degree – the highest honor bestowed by the U – to be conferred at Commencement in May 2024.
The nomination form is available HERE and the submission deadline is Friday, October 20.
Please consider nominating an individual(s) who has achieved distinction in service to society and/or the university through impactful work in research, scholarship, education, the arts, humanities, the professions, business, government service, civic affairs, human rights, humanitarian outreach, social activism, innovation and invention. Compelling nominations will include details of the individual’s professional achievements, volunteer activities, humanitarian service, community involvement and any connections to / engagement with the university.
Note the following are ineligible for this award: Current members of the Utah Board of Higher Education; current members of the University of Utah Board of Trustees; current members of the University of Utah faculty and staff.
