Increased access to databases, ebooks, and more

More resources are available online.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several publishers have provided temporary free access to databases, ebooks, and other materials. Use this guide for a list of the free collections.

Need to use electronic textbooks in your online teaching? The Copyright Clearance Center has coordinated with publishers to authorize the use of publishers’ materials in distance learning models and other uses as required by the pandemic, at no cost to the user, during this time of emergency.

HathiTrust

The digital library of HathiTrust has expanded its free online content, making nearly half of the Marriott Library’s books available online. In order to access, go to http://www.hathitrust.org/, click on the yellow “Log In” icon, select the University of Utah as your institution, log in with your uNID and CIS password. Once you’re logged in, click the Catalog circle, change the All Fields drop-down to “Title,” put the book’s title in the search box, and click on the “Search” button.
