“At first, I thought I’d feel pretty out of place here. I didn’t know anyone, and the idea of living in a different country was a little overwhelming. But, to my surprise, from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The Utah Asia Campus community has been incredibly supportive—it quickly felt like home, which I didn’t expect at all.

One thing that stands out is how approachable the professors are here. Staying in touch with them is much easier than on the Salt Lake City campus, and that’s helped me stay on track and feel more connected with my classes. When it comes to friendships, I’ve met a lot of amazing people. Getting involved in campus clubs has been a game-changer. I highly recommend joining the Football Club or the Photography Club—they’re great ways to meet new people and get involved in campus life.

Looking ahead, I truly believe my time at the Utah Asia Campus will have a lasting impact on my future. I’ve had the chance to connect with both locals and students from all over the world. These international relationships are opportunities I wouldn’t have had if I stayed in Utah, and I hope to keep them going long after I graduate.

For any students considering a transfer to the Utah Asia Campus, my advice is simple: meet new people, try things that seem different, and just have fun with it. It might feel strange at first, but trust me—it’s all part of the experience. Explore, make memories, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.
