FOX Big Noon Kickoff touches down Saturday, Sept. 20

With the 2025 college football season underway, hype for the University of Utah is already increasing. Week four finds the Utes making their second national television appearance of the season against Texas Tech University. The #16-ranked Utes game against the #17-ranked Red Raiders will be featured on FOX Big Noon Saturday coverage on Sept. 20, 2025 with kickoff set for 10 a.m. MT at Rice-Eccles Stadium for the Ute Proud game.

FOX Big Noon Kickoff

FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show will be broadcast live from the University of Utah campus for the first time. The popular college football preview show will begin at 8 a.m. MT from Ute Village at the southwest corner of Guardsman Way and 500 South, next to the Smith’s Ultimate Tailgate Experience. The Barstool College Football Show begins at 7 a.m. at the same site.

Utah fans are invited to line up beginning at 4 a.m. on Saturday to enter the viewing area near the stage. All U students can enjoy the atmosphere at the Student Tailgate area located on Guardsman Way just south of the FOX broadcast area. Free breakfast, giveaways and  game tickets await early risers. The first 500 students will get priority entry into the broadcast zone for the 7 am Barstool broadcast. 

Anchored by FOX Sports’ Rob Stone and joined by former college football icons Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn, the broadcast will also feature former Ute head coach and 2025 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Urban Meyer, who led the U to its undefeated season in 2004.

Also on site will be Barstool’s Dave Portnoy, Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica to provide his ‘Bear’s Bytes’ segment, alongside award-winning reporter Tom Rinaldi with analysis and interviews.

Admission to the viewing area is free, and fans are encouraged to bring signs. FOX will be giving away game tickets, free food, trucker hats and $500 for the best sign.

Free parking for fans attending Big Noon Kickoff and the Barstool College Football Show is available in Lot 45 until the lot is full. A limited number of parking spots may be purchased in the following lots: 27, 32, 39 and 46.

No overnight camping is allowed on campus.

Big Noon Saturday

Some game tickets to the top-25 Big Noon Saturday matchup remain, and can be purchased here. The contest is the first conference game for both teams, with each sporting identical 3-0 records coming into week four.

The Utes have been explosive offensively, scoring 106 combined points in its first two games, while allowing just 19 total points combined. On the other sideline, the Red Raiders have been even more dynamic outscoring their two opponents a combined 129-21 by eclipsing 60 points in each of their first two games.

A win on Saturday, Sept. 20 will give each squad its first victory against a ranked opponent this season and create early momentum in Big 12 Conference play.

Transit, Parking and Tailgate Lots

  • Fans without assigned parking passes are encouraged to take public transit to campus. Ride for free with a game ticket or UCard.
  • The Guardsman Way Tailgate Lot (Lot 40) will open at 6 p.m. Friday for tailgate permit-holders. The East Stadium Tailgate Lot (Lot 9) will open at 8 p.m. Friday.
  • Lots 2, 5 and 8 will open at 5 a.m. Saturday. All other parking lots open at 6 a.m. Parking Map
  • The road closure of Guardsman Way for through traffic will begin at 4 a.m. Saturday.
