Calling all seniors—make a buzz at your Commencement as a newly inducted member of the Beehive Honor Society!
The Beehive Honor Society (BHS), founded at the University of Utah in 1913, is the oldest local honor society on campus and is directed by a committee of former BHS inductees.
The society honors graduating seniors who have demonstrated leadership, scholarship and service to the university and the community. On average, just one in 1,000 students at the U is inducted into Beehive. Among the society’s 1,200-plus members and 20 honorary members are prominent leaders in medicine, academe, business, politics and the arts.
To be eligible, applicants must be first-time graduating seniors by May 2024. Students completing their undergraduate credit requirements for graduation in August 2023, December 2023 and May 2024 may apply. Graduate students are not eligible. All applications must be accurately and thoroughly completed to receive full consideration. You may edit/update your application after submission up until the deadline (Feb. 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.).
The Beehive Honor Society Selection Committee makes the membership selections. This year, 20 bees will be selected.
