Summer classes moving online

Changes due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

As our understanding of the arc of COVID-19 transmission in Utah and throughout the country evolves, we are continuing to adapt university processes and responses. We will be shifting ALL summer courses online this year – first session, second session, and semester-long summer courses.  The change also will apply to continuing education courses.

Along with all of you, we hope that rates of infection and hospitalization in our community will have eased later this summer. By making this decision now, we want to provide enough time to plan and prepare for the change. For those who already have registered for summer courses, please check the Office of the Registrar’s website for more information or email registrar@utah.edu. For questions about Continuing Education courses, call 801-581-6461, check the Continuing Education website or email register@continue.utah.edu.

We have been inspired by the seamless transition our university has made to online-only instruction through the end of Spring Semester 2020. Thanks to your hard work, dedication and flexibility, we are teaching our students in new and creative ways. We believe the summer term offers the same opportunities for innovation and teamwork.

We truly appreciate your continued patience and resilience as we weather this once-in-a-lifetime event. We will emerge stronger and more united as One U!

Thank you,
