[bs_col class=”col-sm-8″]Benefits Annual Open Enrollment is May 2 through June 3. Employees will see some exciting changes to their health care benefits when open enrollment kicks off this month.
During the 2016 Plan Year, your copays and coinsurance amounts will be reduced when you visit or seek services from University Health Care providers. Benefits will remain substantially the same if you choose another participating network provider.
Details will be provided in the open enrollment packets, which are being mailed to employees’ homes and should arrive by May 11. All documents are now available on the benefits department’s website here.[/bs_col]

[bs_col class=”col-sm-8″]RedMed, the University Employee Health Clinic, is located on the ground floor of the Union Building. Care at the clinic will be provided by College of Nursing faculty and staff. U nurse practitioners and medical assistants bring clinical expertise in individualized patient care, by assessing and treating work related injuries and other non-emergency medical conditions.
Employees who are injured at work should use the clinic as their first point of care unless the injury is life- or limb-threatening or occurs before or after RedMed clinic hours.
For additional information or to schedule an appointment, see the RedMed web page at hr.utah.edu/RedMed. [/bs_col]

[bs_col class=”col-sm-8″]Nominations are now being accepted for the University of Utah District Staff Excellence Awards. The nomination deadline is Monday, June 20, 2016.
Additional information and nomination forms for each district are available online here.
The University of Utah Staff Excellence Awards recognize superior service and ongoing contributions by the university’s full-time staff.
A total of 24 district staff excellence awards will be presented throughout the university from four districts: academic and student affairs, administration, academic health sciences and hospital and clinics. In addition to receiving the District Staff Award, the selected employees from each district will have their names forwarded as nominees for one of six University Staff Excellence Awards. All winners will be recognized at a luncheon with President David Pershing. Winners of the university-wide award will each receive $5,000.
Nominees must have at least three years of continuous, full-time (.75 FTE and above) service at the university to be eligible. Faculty, director-level staff and above, UU Staff Council members and district award team members are not eligible for this award.
Please, no self-nominations. You may nominate anyone from your district or from another district who meets the eligibility criteria.
