On Nov. 10 at the University Campus Store and the Health Sciences Store in the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB), all Apple products will be available tax free, with select items at an additional 8 percent off of already-reduced academic prices. This one-day event is exclusive to University of Utah faculty and staff and is an excellent opportunity to save on Apple products, whether for personal or educational use.

In addition to tax-free pricing, which is offered every day on computers and tablets, faculty and staff members will receive an additional 8 percent discount on all current generation MacBook Pros, iPad Air 2s and 9.7-inch iPad Pros. Patrons can save up to $550 on a new MacBook Pro, compared to what they would pay at other Apple retailers.

For the first time, University of Utah faculty, staff and alumni can reserve their purchases online at CampusStore.utah.edu/AppleEvent to guarantee their items will be in stock at the Campus Store on Nov. 10. Reservations are now open and may be submitted until Friday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m. Please review qualifying Apple product numbers online to ensure you have reserved the correct products.

Another Apple One-Day Event value for full-time faculty and staff is the zero-interest computer payroll deduction plan. Those who participate in payroll deduction pay only $20 on Nov. 10, and the remaining balance is automatically deducted from paychecks for up to 12 pay periods.  A customer’s entire purchase from the Campus Store’s Technology Department, UTech, not exceeding $2,000, can be paid through payroll deduction, so eligible faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this added benefit.

Those wanting to make the most of the lunch hour can stop in at UTech for a complimentary J-Dawgs hotdog between 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., or while supplies last. A friend of the Campus Store, J-Dawgs is celebrating its newly opened location in Main Street’s Exchange Place, downtown Salt Lake City.

UTech’s Apple One-Day Event is an in-store only promotion, but Apple products are always available online at CampusStore.utah.edu. For those in the health sciences area of campus, a free shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the Moran Eye Center to the Campus Store.
