Every year Environmental Health and Safety partners with Facilities Management to conduct a survey of lighting across campus. This annual event is known as the “Walk After Dark.”

During this event groups of individuals from various organizations walk every sidewalk on campus to specifically survey lighting levels, both actual and perceived, but also to look for other safety issues related to travel across campus at night.

This year’s Walk After Dark will be held on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, beginning at 7 p.m. in the East Ballroom at the Student Union building (Bldg.53). The event usually lasts less than 2 hours.

We invite individuals who would like to participate to complete the registration form here.

As the event draws closer, event details will be emailed to all registered participants.
