Vibes of hope: Join the Chalk Art Fest on Sept. 6-8

Students, faculty and staff will be encouraged to create chalk art and share "messages of hope" for those who are struggling.

To raise awareness during National Suicide Prevention Month in September, the University Counseling Center and the Center for Campus Wellness are teaming up to host the Chalk Art Fest on Sep. 6-8, between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. near the Block U.

Students, faculty and staff will be encouraged to create chalk art and share “messages of hope” for those who are struggling. This interactive experience is more than just about making something beautiful—it’s about showing support for those affected by suicide, talking openly about mental health and making a real impact.

This event, sponsored in part by Pepsi, will also feature Amazon gift card giveaway opportunities, campus partners including the Women’s Resource Center and more.

Through this event, we hope to unite the campus community in a shared mission of promoting suicide prevention and awareness by using art, messages of hope and collaboration during this festival.
