Truth in Tuition Online Hearing 2022

To improve access and provide a recording for a larger audience, the University of Utah will be offering an online “hearing” this year. All concerned students and citizens are invited to register to attend.

The University of Utah is proposing increasing tuition by up to 6% for the 2022-23 school year. This increase in tuition will help address lagging staff and faculty salaries which have not kept pace with inflation. The hearing also will include information about the university’s commitment to raising additional funding for scholarships and boosting financial aid.

The hearing will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11 a.m., register for the webinar here.

This tuition increase means a full-time resident student taking 15 credit hours would pay approximately $258.85 more per semester. Full-time undergraduate tuition is currently $4,314.15 per semester. A tuition increase of 6 percent would raise that tuition to $4,573.00 per semester.
