‘The Hinckley Report’ returns for season 8

This weekly series delves into the pressing political issues that Utah faces.

PBS Utah announced that “The Hinckley Report with Jason Perry” will return for an eighth season. The highly anticipated program will air on PBS Utah 7.1 on Friday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.

This weekly series, produced in collaboration with the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics, delves into the pressing political issues that Utah faces. This season, Jason Perry will cover topics relevant to Utah that include the Salt Lake City and Ogden City mayoral races, the special election to replace Chris Stewart in Utah’s 2nd Congressional District and in the spring, the primaries for the Republican presidential nomination.

“We’re excited to return with our eighth season of ‘The Hinckley Report,’” said Director of Content Lisa Olken. “I deeply admire how Jason Perry and his panelists offer context and analysis in a very meaningful, down-to-earth way, as they make sense of the upcoming elections which should all be very interesting to watch.”

Amidst divisive political news, “The Hinckley Report” stands out for its unbiased and civil roundtable discussions, providing valuable insights into the issues facing Utahns. Tune in to PBS Utah on Fridays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 11 a.m. or Sundays at 6:30 p.m.
