The University Counseling Center invites students to get creative and submit artwork for the second annual Healing Art Showcase. This exhibit will spotlight artwork created by students addressing mental health issues that impact them academically and personally. Through showcasing art created by students, we aim to decrease mental health stigma and help students find commonalities among a shared experience.
This year’s theme is compassion towards self and community. Your artwork can be an expression of your experiences, beliefs, and struggles related to self-compassion or compassion toward others. All entries must be original works of art created within the last three years. Artists must be current University of Utah students. The entry deadline is Jan. 18, 2024. Artwork will be on display in the Union lobby from Jan. 22-26, 2024.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries: $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for thirrd place. The winners will be determined by the attendees of the exhibit, making it a true community vote.
