Materials stored in temperature controlled units

If you store research or pharmaceutical materials in a temperature-controlled unit, it is imperative that you take action to prevent losses due to equipment malfunctions, power outages, etc. (see Loss Prevention Protocols on the Risk & Insurance Services website). A Preventive Maintenance Agreement (PMA) is required along with an active inventory, continuous monitoring system and identifiable asset or ID tag for all units to be covered by insurance.
