Passover and Ramadan dining options for students

As we approach the spring season, our campus is committed to supporting students observing Passover and Ramadan by offering specialized dining options. Recognizing the central role that food plays in these traditions, Dining Services at the University of Utah has curated seasonal menus available at the following locations:

  • Urban Bytes at Kahlert Village
  • United Table at Peterson Heritage Center
  • Miller Café at Lassonde Studios

Complete grab-and-go meals and seasonal items will also be conveniently accessible at U of U Dining Markets, including:

  • Honors Market
  • Crimson Corner
  • Hive Express
  • Miller Café
  • The Market at Marriott Library

Ramadan: March 10th to April 9th

For students observing Ramadan, we’ve ensured convenient dining options are readily available. Urban Bytes and United Table will offer to-go dinner and breakfast meals until 10 PM, featuring traditional Ramadan dishes made with Halal proteins. Students seeking a hot and complete Ramadan dinner experience can head to Miller Café. Additionally, U of U Dining Markets across campus will offer a variety of Ramadan-friendly food options.

In addition to delicious meals, Dining Services is collaborating with student groups to provide educational resources in dining service areas, offering insights into Ramadan observance during the spring season.

Passover: April 22nd to April 30th

During Passover, Urban Bytes at Kahlert Village and United Table at Peterson Heritage Center will cater to students’ dietary requirements. U of U Dining Markets will have matzah dough and matzah crackers available. Look out for other traditional Passover dishes served at various stations throughout the dining halls.
