The Office for Global Engagement is seeking nominations to recognize faculty and staff who have made long-term and exemplary contributions to advance internationalization at the U.

The Office for Global Engagement is seeking nominations to recognize faculty and staff who have made long-term and exemplary contributions to advance internationalization at the University of Utah.

One faculty member and one staff member will be awarded (two awards). The award includes $1,000, recognition at a campus-wide reception, and recognition via University of Utah publications and websites.

Internationalization is the intentional process of integrating an international, intercultural or global dimension into the purpose, functions and delivery of higher education in order to enhance the quality of education and research for all students, faculty, and staff.

Global engagement and activities may involve a combination of research and creative activity, teaching, mentoring, curriculum transformation, professional service, international partnership development, supporting students, hosting international scholars, and supporting the development of the U’s global campuses. The emphasis should be on the benefits of the individual’s international activities to the university and the campus community.
