There are many great faculty members at the University of Utah and it’s time to recognize one of them as this year’s recipient of the Calvin S. and JeNeal N. Hatch Prize in Teaching. The deadline is Dec. 6, 2019.

The prize recognizes a faculty member for outstanding contributions to teaching, dissemination of knowledge and improving our ability to communicate with each other.

Eligible nominees must meet certain criteria, including being a tenure-line faculty member. See the guidelines and nomination form here.

The selection committee looks for a faculty member’s ability to increase student learning, use of innovative teaching methods, introduction and inventiveness of new courses, noteworthy expertise in a field of study, the effectiveness of presentation and other exemplary contributions to a university education.
