Campus Recreation Services is now offering discounted memberships to the Eccles Student Life Center for U employees who are veterans. The discounted membership rate is for both annual and monthly memberships.
In working with Dr. Lori McDonald, vice president for student affairs, Campus Recreation developed this additional benefit to support veteran employees and thank them for the services they have provided to this country.
“I am excited that we are able to offer this benefit to our veteran colleagues,” said John MacDonald, director of Campus Recreation Services. “We look forward to providing this health and wellness opportunity as a token of our appreciation for their many sacrifices.”
To qualify, veterans simply need to show identification with veteran status such as Uniformed Service ID or Veterans ID when signing up at the Eccles Student Life Center. In addition, anyone signing up for a new membership will receive a T-shirt (until they run out) and their first month free!
