Outstanding education, research and clinical care put the John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah among the top 10 programs in the nation, according to the latest Ophthalmology Times survey results.
The magazine’s annual survey polls chairpersons and residency program directors at eye centers across the country to compile its rankings. The latest results, released Oct. 4, place Moran at:
- 8 in the nation for Best Overall Program
- 10 in the nation for Best Research Program
- 6 in the nation for Best Residency Program
- 9 in the nation for Best Clinical Program

As part of University of Utah Health, Moran serves as the largest ophthalmology clinical care and research facility in the Mountain West, with more than 60 faculty members and 10 satellite clinics.
