Join the campaign internship trail

The Hinckley Institute of Politics has extended its local campaign internships deadline for the spring 2020 semester.

U student Samantha Thorne interned at the local office of Senator Orrin Hatch during the fall 2016 semester.

As a nonpartisan organization, the Hinckley Institute of Politics values the wide variety of political efforts that take place in Utah and strives to foster civic engagement among students and community members. Connecting students with campaigns is one of the ways they do this.

The Hinckley Institute has extended its spring 2020 local internships deadline to Nov. 10. They are offering internship opportunities in legislative, statewide and congressional campaigns.

“Conventions and primaries are a central part of a campaign and will be a really exciting time to work with a candidate and get to be part of the campaign process,” said Morgan Lyon Cotti, associate director of the Hinckley Institute.
