Healthy Minds survey deadline extended to Dec. 8

For students to succeed and reach their full potential academically and personally, their mental health needs must be met. While our university already provides a range of mental health resources, we are committed to an ongoing effort to enhance our services. To effectively advocate for improved services and innovative solutions, it is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of the current mental health landscape among our students.

Randomly selected students received an email from Dr. Sherra’ Watkins, the associate vice president of student health and wellness, at healthyminds-uofu@umich.edu, inviting them to participate in the Healthy Minds survey. The survey deadline is now extended to Dec. 8 to allow more students to participate.

If you’ve been selected to participate, you should have received another email via Umail urging your involvement. Participating students will be entered into several drawings for the chance to win prizes in the amount of $500, $100 or $25 Amazon gift cards.

Your contributions will assist us in evaluating the effectiveness of existing mental health programs, identifying the need for additional services, and raising awareness of mental health resources on campus. We depend on feedback from students like you to shape and enhance our mental health support systems.

Please note that this survey is anonymous, and your answers are confidential and protected. Once the survey is complete, the link between your name, email and IP address will be broken to ensure that no one can link students to their responses. The results will be presented in summary form to safeguard the anonymity of individuals.
