Due to the current rise in COVID-19 cases, George Takei’s visit to the U that was originally scheduled for Jan. 27 has been postponed to April 21, 2022.
Takei will be the first national guest for MUSE (My “U” Signature Experience) for the 2021-22 theme year on “Rebuilding.” Takei stars as Lieutenant Sulu on the original “Star Trek” and is a noted activist for Asian-American and LGBT rights. Takei will address students and the university community at Kingsbury Hall on April 21 beginning at noon and a book signing will follow.
