Looking to refresh your wardrobe sustainably or find unique treasures? The Sustainability Office is excited to host this semester’s Pop-Up Thrift Shop and Swap on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the J. Willard Marriott Library Learning Space.
This free event is your chance to explore a variety of secondhand clothing, accessories and gently used school supplies, all while reducing waste and promoting a culture of reuse on campus. You can also bring donations to the swap. Find a list of accepted items here.
Whether you’re a thrifting pro or just want to explore, this event is for everyone.
Why thrift?
Thrifting is an excellent way to:
- Save resources by giving clothes and school supplies a second life, reducing the demand for fast fashion and keeping unused items out of the landfill.
- Be eco-conscious, as the fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to global pollution.
- Build community by connecting with others who share a passion for sustainability.
