Fellowship in Collections Engagement

Applications will be accepted through June 7, 2019.

Enabled through funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation supporting the Utah Museum of Fine Art’s and the J. Willard Marriott Library’s “Landscape, Land Art, and the American West” initiative, the Fellowship in Collections Engagement funds creative and/or scholarly projects that utilize primary resources from the collections of both the UMFA and Marriott Library.

  • Proposals may request funding from $250 to a maximum of $8,000 for projects conducted from August 1, 2019—June 30, 2020
  • University of Utah students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to apply
  • How might your discipline(s) expand upon, enlarge, or challenge common assumptions about landscape, Land Art, or the American West? We want to hear from you
