Faculty, that time is almost here; graduation is upon us! It’s time to start thinking about your graduation regalia. The most common and cost-effective option is to rent your regalia from the Campus Store. Regalia orders opened on Feb. 1 and can be submitted here.

The deadline for submitting faculty rental orders is Feb. 28. Orders will continue to be accepted past this date, but this deadline will guarantee that faculty will get the correct regalia in time for graduation. Some faculty members may understandably miss this deadline, so the Campus Store will be offering last-chance rental pick-up beginning May 1 on a first come, first served basis. The rental regalia offered at last chance pick-up beginning May 1 will be specific to the University of Utah. Regalia for any other institution will not be offered at that time.

Similar to previous years, faculty rental regalia will be delivered to the faculty member’s department. Once the regalia is received, the department is responsible for distributing the correct regalia to each faculty member. Please contact Abby Hirshberg directly if you are the contact that will be distributing regalia for your department. Abby will coordinate delivery with you when the regalia arrives in mid-April.

Faculty rental regalia will need to be returned to the Campus Store no later than May 26. College and departments may coordinate regalia returns directly with Abby Hirshberg.

In addition to the rental regalia option for faculty members, if anyone in your department is interested in fine-quality custom regalia, please advise them to contact Abby Hirshberg as soon as possible. The production timeframe for fine quality is typically 8-10 weeks, so orders need to be submitted as soon as possible to guarantee delivery in time for commencement and individual college convocations.
