Deadline for University Teaching Grants

This a reminder from the University Teaching Committee that the deadline for the next round of University Teaching Grants is March 15, 2023.

University Teaching Grant awards are made to faculty to undertake projects that will enhance their teaching or abet curricular innovation. Tenure-line and career-line faculty are eligible to propose individual and group grants. Preference will be given to applicants whose primary professional affiliation is as faculty at the University of Utah. Given that we have limited funding, please be cognizant that your funding requests match your needs. Partial funding is an option of the committee. Individual Teaching Grants and Group Teaching Grants will be accepted in the amount of $7,000 or less. To submit a proposal follow the steps below.

Submission

Step 1

Download and prepare the appropriate application form. When the application is completed, return to the Teaching Committee website and proceed to Step 2.

Chairs or directors must provide an electronic version of a letter of support to insert in section G. This letter can be unsigned, signed with a graphic facsimile, scanned paper version or digital signatures. Optionally, you may include an additional letter from the dean or associate dean.

Step 2

After completing the appropriate application form, submit your nomination at the University Teaching Grants Nomination Submission page.

Final reports

Following the completion of a funded University Teaching Grant, a follow-up report must be submitted. A final report must be submitted to be eligible to apply for another University Teaching Grant from the University Teaching Committee.
