Coffee & Conversations Continue with a Zine Making Workshop

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) will be hosting the third Coffee and Conversation—Organizing for Reproductive Justice: A Zine Making Workshop Tuesday, October 4, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Union Den.

Although we can’t all be organizers in the reproductive justice movement, there are certainly ways we can all contribute to it and spread awareness. That’s why the third session of Coffee & Conversations will provide students with an accessible avenue to get involved in the reproductive justice movement: zines.

Whether this is the first time you’ve ever heard of zines, or whether you’re an experienced zine creator, this workshop is for you. We’ll be discussing the history of zines, why and how they came about, how they can be used as a tool in organizing and activism and of course, how to make them.

Students who attend will have the opportunity to create their very own zine. Zine making supplies will be provided, but students are welcome to bring whatever supplies they’d like to use.

Join the WRC on Tuesday for drinks, sweet treats and zines, zines, zines!
