Members of the community are invited to attend a special lecture “Transforming Science and Care Delivery to Achieve Health Equity” featuring keynote speaker Consuelo H. Wilkins, M.D., MSCI. The lecture is presented by the H. A. and Edna Benning Medical Society in partnership with University of Utah Health and will be held on Sept. 21, 2022, at 6 p.m. at the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House.

Dr. Wilkins currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Senior Associate Dean for Health Equity and Inclusive Excellence at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a nationally recognized leader in health equity focused on integrating social, cultural, and environmental factors into clinical and translational research. Among her many contributions to science is her prescient focus on engaging racial and ethnic minority communities, using implementation science methodologies.
