As we bid conGRADulations to our December graduates, the Office of Alumni Relations invites you to celebrate this momentous occasion designed just for you!
What is the U’s Grad Bash?
Grad Bash is a special celebration for students who have applied for Fall 2023 graduation. This is an opportunity to say goodbye to your fellow students as you leave to embrace “the real world” as a proud U alum. The event will be a time to savor the memories, enjoy some fantastic perks, and kickstart your journey as a U graduate. The celebration will feature free food, photo opportunities with various backgrounds, professional headshots, and grad gifts (while supplies last).

Tuesday, December 5 from 3–5 p.m.

Why grads should register
The Grad Bash is a celebration of you and your hard work. We want to ensure that all students graduating in December 2023 and their loved ones have an enjoyable and memorable experience. While the event is free to attend for you and up to two guests, we kindly request that you register in advance. Registration helps us plan and accommodate everyone to the best of our ability.
Who can register to attend?
Any student who has applied for Fall 2023 graduation can register themselves and two guests.
Will December graduates be honored at any other events?
Yes, that same night, there will be a tribute to fall graduates at the Utah Utes men’s basketball game at 7pm against Southern Utah University in the Jon. M. Huntsman Center. Graduates can claim a ticket and guest tickets on www.utahtickets.com (login to your student account) or by showing your UID card at the gate.
Get Social and Win!
In the spirit of celebration, we’re hosting a social media contest. Share a post on Instagram with one or more photos or video clips highlighting your favorite U memories. Tag @UtahAlumni and use #UGradBash2023 between November 5 and December 7 for a chance to win exciting U-themed prizes. Five lucky winners will be randomly selected and notified via Instagram. Looking Ahead: University Commencement 2024
For all students who will be graduating this year, these events mark the culmination of your academic journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate with members of your families, friends and fellow graduates to create lasting memories.
Mark your calendars for the University Commencement 2024. This event will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. MDT at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. It’s an in-person gathering that brings together graduates from across the campus, making it a university-wide celebration. Learn more on the Commencement 2024 website.
