Student Affairs is pleased to announce that Dr. Scott McAward has been selected as the new executive director for the University Counseling Center (UCC).
Most recently, McAward has served as director for the U’s Center for Disability & Access (CDA). After receiving a B.S. in psychology from Northern Arizona University, he received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the U.
As a licensed psychologist, Scott started his career in student services in university counseling centers at the University of Iowa and The Ohio State University and returned to the U’s UCC as an assistant director and staff psychologist. In addition to his substantial experience in counseling and the CDA, Scott has served in several interim leadership roles for Student Affairs at the U.
McAward will begin this new role on October 3. Sid Davis will serve as the interim director for CDA and a search will begin immediately for a permanent director.
