Are you a staff member and looking for opportunities to be more involved in the University of Utah? The University of Utah Staff Council is currently looking for positive, service-minded individuals to join us! The UU Staff Council is an organization established by University Policy 5-003 to make sure the interests of staff on campus are represented. Applications are open for volunteers who are interested in making a difference. Serving on the Council involves a time commitment of a two-hour meeting on the first Wednesday of every month and the devotion of at least two hours each month to participating on at least one of the Council Committees.
Staff Council consists of 30 staff members (both exempt and non-exempt) from across campus. They are appointed by the University President for a term of three years, with one-third of the membership rotating off each year. Officers of the Council include a President, President-elect, and Secretary/Treasurer, each serving a one-year term. There are also three ex-officio members, four alternates, and a representative from the Retired Staff Employees Association.
